Their Product Team now needs a bright and capable Technical Manager to take full technical responsibility for their amazing products.
Working as part of the Head Office team you will be the ‘brand guardian’ with full responsibility for Quality, Food Safety, Legality and Brand Reputation. You will be playing a key role in Supplier Management, Governance, Process Innovation as well as making a positive contribution to the company’s NPD Programme.
You will need to develop strong Technical relationships with current and future co-manufacturing partners in the UK and Europe. You will work closely with them to drive quality improvements and ensure product integrity as well as support the development of new products.
We’re looking for a bright, capable and driven Technical Manager with superb interpersonal skills. Ideally with a food science / technology degree and a wealth of technical experience from food manufacturing and / or retail environments. If you’ve worked for a food brand before that would be an added bonus.
Of course the usual HACCP, BRC, auditing and quality management systems experience is essential but we need a technical manager with a real passion for food and processes. Someone who can embrace new product areas, gets excited about technical innovation and new ingredients.
Developing fair and collaborative relationships with suppliers alongside a love for factories is a must for this role. There will be some travel to suppliers within the UK and mainland Europe so you will need to have a flexible approach and be able to adapt to the needs of a fast paced business.
